Rozelyn [B-Side-U]
A semi-pro pilot who's just as fiery as she looks, with a temper matching her stature. In truth, her aggression actually stems less from immaturity or a lack of self control- rather, overwhelming offensive force is her forte, and the rush that comes with playing fast and loose is the thing she enjoys most about Minimechanica. Though quick to anger, she's got decent control over it, channeling it into truly explosive on-field performance while keeping to a low smolder in person. Trying to needle her or throw her off her game with taunts is ineffective- if anything, she plays even better mad- but that same aggression makes her easy to goad into stacked matches or unreasonable wagers. Just be careful not to underestimate her- she'll stop at nothing to prove her detractors wrong, and turn impossible odds on their head.
Though she's earned a reputation as a vicious lone wolf in recent times, Rozelyn was once part of MKN, a widely-known team that disbanded seemingly at the height of their dominance. She still wears the orange-clad jacket, though it no longer bears the MKN name or insignia- it's bereft of any identifying marks at all, with a blank spot where a team logo should be. Years later, there's little fame left to cling to- most don't remember MKN at all, and what little legacy remains is mostly tied to Rozelyn's status as a lone freelance pilot and her aggressive piloting. Even that is slipping away bit by bit, as Rozelyn fails to reach the same lofty heights she once seemed destined to inherit.
She is perhaps best known for piloting the Sunset II, a unique machine that makes use of a "purge kit" to transform mid-match. What begins as a slower heavyweight mech loaded with the biggest, hardest-hitting weapons it can lift can become a nimble ultralight craft in mere seconds, discarding the oversized leg units and weapon support structures in a one-way transformation. Though this comes at the cost of room for other systems and requires compromises that make both forms miss the "standard benchmark" for their weight class, Rozelyn thrives on the versatility and power the system offers. Notably, Rozelyn was not the one who built Sunset II, nor does she have the skills required to do more than maintain it, let alone modify or copy it. Its original designer is believed to be MKN's captain, though they left the game entirely sometime after it was finished and haven't been heard from since.
Though Rozelyn has been active in Minimechanica since the fall of MKN, her torunament performance- and shortly after, her event attendance- began to dwindle. While still a common fixture of open events and casual skirmishes at local venues, it's safe to say that the fall of MKN dragged her down as well.
